100 Digital Heads Challenge, #22

I keep trying different brushes & techniques with these which is good because it’s helping me figure out what I like & don’t like. Hopefully by the time I get to 100 I have brushes and a style that I’m happy with.
I wasn’t really inspired by today’s portrait so I just plowed through it. I’ve noticed the ones I don’t enjoy drawing are usually sculptures. I’m not really sure why, but they don’t excite me. 1/5th of the way there!
I watched a really helpful video last night about drawing faces and I attempted to apply it to this drawing. I do like how it turned out even though the right eye is tilted too much. I need to remember to flip my canvas more often when I’m drawing so that I can catch those mistakes earlier.
Welp, I kinda fell off the train with this project. I was really trying to do 100 heads in 100 days, but it just didn’t work out that way. I am going to keep moving along though. I don’t know how long it will take me to complete, but I am dedicated to finishing all 100.
I missed yesterday, but I’m hoping to be able to do two tomorrow so that I can catch up.
Today’s portrait was fun!
I almost missed today. It was getting late and I was completely uninspired by today’s portrait. But I decided to take a relaxed sketchy approach and I like how it turned out. I don’t want this challenge to become a chore, so I’m glad i was able to turn it around and have some fun. [Filing in my brain for future reference.]
Since yesterday’s post was kinda boring I wanted to have some fun today. Blue hair? Why not!
I didn’t have much time today so it’s just a quick black and white sketch.
I tried some new brushes today. I really like the pencil textures.
I had a lot of fun with this one. One of my favorites so far!
This one was really, really hard! I ended up simplifying it and omitted the scarf around the head because the angle of the face was difficult enough.
